Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a type of safty glass with 2 or more layers of glass held in place by a PVB interlayer. The glass is processed with roller press and heat which remove most of the air and effectively fuse PVB film and the layers of glass. To complete the lamination, the glass sheets are loaded into an autoclave under the controlled temperature and pressure to ensure the air is completely removed.

Laminated glass has various distanct characteristics depending on the choice of glass and interlayer used in the laminatation process. Therefore, custom laminated glass is available upon your request.

the standard thickness of our laminated glass is 6.38 mm. - 80 mm. Our thinnest PVB film is 0.38 mm. with a distinct range of colors.

Characteristics
  • When a laminated glass ie broken, the glass fragments remain firmly bonded to the interlayer, minimizing the risk of injuries and damage as well as increasing load resistance.
  • Better sound control than regular float glass.
  • UV control
  • Help safeguard a builing and resist intrusion as it is difficult to break.

Applications
  • Building interior such as glass walls and doors.
  • Building exterior, especially when high security and barrier to noises are required.
  • High-rise builing as according to building laws and regulations.
  • Balconies and windows.
